As mentioned previously the new General Data Protection Regulations will be introduced in 2018.
The following Suppliers/Manufacturers have received several invitations since the dates given but have never replied to me. I have also spoken to some of them at shows to ask them to confirm their details but still not received a response.

Spent a lovely hour in Martin and his lovely dog's company. Very knowledgable and friendly guy who is only to willing to help. Only went in for dcc clips and my husband and I came out with a beautiful loco, three matching coaches and a wagon and all at an extremely competitive and fair price. For what looks like a small shop the stock is massive. Martin offers loco repairs at cost and we were given a voucher for 10% off our next purchase. Well worth a short detour off the M62 or A1 and easy parking behind the shopping precinct opposite.
First visit yesterday in order to collect Bachmann's latest North West Reps edition of 47 712. With the opening of the new Mersey Crossing bridge late last year, door to door was only 30 minutes meaning Widnes Model Centre is pretty much my closest model shop. Pretty pleased about that, as the shop was a real treasure trove of model railways, kits and all the modelling accessories you would expect.
Extensive stock on display and keen prices. Locos are tested before being sold which is something I always appreciate. Friendly and attentive service from Barry & Gill.
Delighted to have discovered this excellent model shop and will be back for sure.
First time ordering and this is what customer service should be. A lot of companies should take a lead out of Olivia's Trains book - they really look after you. They'll certainly get my business in future. Recommended.
Visited today. Shut but the signs are good in that all the scaffolding has gone and the return home looks promising. It's been a great effort on the part of the owner to keep things going during the rebuilding work, but what a joy it will be when things are back to normal.
Incredible range of parts and materials mainly for model railways, and scenery of all sorts. Some ready to run, increasing all the time. Paint, glue and tools. The proprietor, is very knowledgeable, willing to share his knowledge, and open to new ideas and techniques. Shop is crammed, and includes scale dicast models and a huge number of kits for buildings in card and plastic, as well as line side structures, plant and machinery. Although a lot is OO gauge, (1:76) N to O is catered for. Also a selection of military kits in 1:72 to 1:35 and electrical and control for model railways. New things seem to be added regularly to this clean and tidy shop. Worth going out of your way for. Easy to find, it is opposite the tourist information, where there is a car park. I live 130 miles away and try to get there 3 time a year at least!!!! Check out on Facebook.
L&B are very willing to send items abroad which in my experience have arrived within 3 or 4 days of the order being placed - well done! I have been personally to the shop, which is very well stocked. Mr Lord and Mr Butler are very helpful and knowledgeable and they will run a loco prior to sale to ensure all is in working order. The 'Dirty Boy' weathering is very impressive too.
Actually "excellent" undervalues this splendid business, Should be "Perfection". How Peter keeps track of his huge stock, heaven only knows. I needed some 22gauge n/s wire along with some 1/8" insulating washers. Peter came up with the goods. Who else stocks M3 nylon washers? Those together with the 0.7mm straight wire solved the problem...AND this piffling little order was delivered to my door, courtesy of Gillian, who happened to be passing, a couple of days later... What Service !!
I've only used for mail order so can't comment on shop. Very efficient, excellent communication, good prices. They tell you what the postage is after you've placed the order but this was very reasonable. The website could be a little bit better but that could be me (or my Samsung tablet).
A good general purpose model shop with parking free outside. Friendly proprietor who offered to order items in and gave me some literature to take away. Prices were reasonable and stock was good. Traditional market town model shop that we should try to visit or lose at our peril.
I have used Hereford models on several occasions and their advice and service is second to none. Thank you
Always worth trying first for discontinued stock as they might be able to help as was the case this time. Delighted!!
Excellent shop. They are responsible for opening my eyes to DCC when I first met them at a Toy and Train Fair many years ago as they first started in business. Always helpful and always prepared to explain. Importantly they will often recommend good but cheaper alternatives for some parts which produces a good, trusting relationship with customers. The shop in Lincoln has developed a lot and is now very well stocked. Thoroughly recommended.
Paid a visit this afternoon for the first time. Very large amount of stock - up there with the best of them. Very careful not to call shops 'one-stop-shops' for everything you could need but this certainly is close. Went with specific purchases in mind so only paid a cursory look round the rest of the shop but there were shelves and shevles of model vehicle and model railway items and an upstairs with Airfix kits and bits and a working model railway which I did not visit on this occasion.
Excellent experience when ordering from their website. They answer email queries promptly and locomotives are tested before dispatch which is rare these days. My order was dispatched extremely quickly and arrived in perfect condition. Their prices are very competitive too so give Derails a try - you will not be disappointed.
I came in the other week looking for materials for a Steampunk accessory - Iris could not have been more helpful. When I returned the next week, she had exactly the stuff I needed to make the "aether collection device" I had designed for my top hat. Only cost a couple of quid, too!
Traditional model shop not far from the town centre. Worth a visit. As well as the mainstream items there are some interesting detailing items from smaller manufacturers. Good idea to combine similar hobbies to make a model shop viable in the 21st century. Will be visiting again - probably this weekend which triggered me to write the review! Have another outlet in Doncaster that is similar.
One of the very few shops in London for the modeller. Though definitely only materials and tools for buildings and scenery, as they are really aimed at professional (architectural) modellers. Having said that a valuable resource with a friendly and helpful staff.
Visited for the first time today. Convenient for the centre. Stock levels good; looks much bigger than their market stall close by. Worth pointing out that the opening hours are different (better) to those on this site e.g. Wednesdays are a full day opening not half. Will visit again. Will be interesting to see if a town can sustain two very similar shops close to each other. I hope so .
