Our Group - Calder Northern Div. is one of 22 UK groups within the British Region of the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA). Calder Northern Div members are predominantly interested in railways of the USA & Canada, but not exclusively, operating both HO and N scale layouts at our club facility at Crewe Heritage Centre. We host a bi-annual themed train show event for both members and public alternate years (October). We are a friendly group of modellers who welcome new members of any age.

Established in 1945, the club has a large 00 layout in the clubroom. Members interests include various different scales and gauges from N and OO9 through 00 to 0. Live steam models too from OO to SM32 and Gauge 1. Members interests include eras from 1920's to the present day.

The Macclesfield Model Railway group exists to help and encourage members, from Macclesfield and the surrounding area, in their modelling and general railway interest. The club is active in many model railway scales and gauges. Current construction projects include a large N gauge model of both Macclesfield stations; new OO and ON30 gauge layouts. Current exhibition layouts are East Rode (3mm) and Purgatory Peak (ON30).

A group of likeminded Gauge O Modellers who meet on the 2nd & 4th Fridays of each month (Except April and December due to NWOGM show and Xmas) at the Scout Hut, High Lane. This is a 30 FT X 14ft test track with 2 finescale and 1 coarsescale circuits. There is a £3 charge for visitors, this includes tea/coffee and biscuits. Toilet available. Through the green door, bring a loco with you for running!

We are a small, friendly club with members of average abilities, with interests ranging from "N" to "G" (though we don't build layouts in all those scales!). We are looking to recruit a few more members to help us progress a new club layout, particularly experienced modellers with electrical and/or scenic skills who would like to create small, quality exhibition-standard layouts to take out to local exhibitions. The kettle is usually on around 20:00, so why not call in for a cuppa and a chat?

The club will aim to educate on all aspects of railways and its local history. A presentation will be developed for use to outside groups.
We aim to pass on our collective knowledge and skills to anyone taking up our hobby regardless of their age and sex.
