Great little shop very tidy. Personally operated by the owner who is very knowledgeable. If you don't know the Rugby area shop could be a little hard to find as it is alongside the canal locks and close to John the Baptist church.

First time visiting tony in his new shop whilst visiting the area, absolutely amazed by how much he stocks and how reasonable his prices are, shame we don't have a shop as good as this in sheffield. Well worth a visit.

Visited the shop and was made most welcome by tony. Shop is clean, bright and you can see all the stock; plenty to look at. Prices are keen for both new and secondhand stock: bought some items which I had reserved earlier and I was able to see them going on a small test layout before buying. Then took a very enjoyable walk along the towpath and a cup of tea at the cafe next door. Highly recommended

A great little shop. The hospitality and service provided by tony was fantastic. Great prices too. Some of the stock is a little too high on the shelves to see properly but tony says he is working on this. Definitely recommended.

Barby model rail is a real find and then some! Made my first visit here after finding the shop on this website and from the moment you walk in the door you are greeted with an extremely friendly and warm welcome. John, the owner, and his able apprentice ian, are extremely knowledgeable and from my point of view, can put anything right. Between them, they have updated and serviced all my rolling stock (Some of which consisted of bits in an envelope). There is also a fantastic level of stock for such a small shop, which has encouraged a couple of recent additions :-)… which can be tested using the layout in the shop! Both john and ian have a real interest in the hobby and are more than willing to help and advise with any queries. Really can't recommend this shop or the gents enough, they are an absolute delight to deal with - Genuine old fashioned service with a smile… definitely worth the trip if you live in the area or further afield.

A gem of a shop, run by a proficient & qualified enthusiast. Worth every mile of a 25 mile trip for me to visit john’s well stocked & neatly laid out shop, which even includes a small layout where you can see your vehicles run. The first exchange of greetings & you know this is the real stuff. If you are visiting by car, set your sat/nav to hillmorton locks, or if by bus, the no 3 or 3a from rugby & alight at hillmorton locks, for a fifteen minute walk that is railway & canal furnished all of the way. You get your inspiration for your next model project just by the walk. Please use a brolly on a wet day.
