Not happy traviled a good way, it says on this site closed at 5pm. Got to shop at 4pm to find a sign on the door saying closed at 4:15. Not a good way to treat customers.Speak to the girls in Whyte's to verify asked if they new anything.

I've been using this model shop for the last 8 - 9 years now and still keep going back. Fantastic selection of Model Railway items. The Model shop Owner Barry is very helpful. Defiantly worth a visit if your in the area.

I arrived at the shop yesterday at 4.30pm to find it closed. There was a hand written sign on the door which stated that the closing time is 4.15pm Monday to Saturday. I had travelled many miles to visit this shop, which I am unlikely to do again, so I was extremely disappointed and frustrated. Please check with the establishment and correct as required.

Like Aladin's cave. Floor to ceiling locos, coaching stock and scale scenery plus excellent help and advice. Heading back when I can afford to do so......

Just to update things ... I called in at Tutbury Mill Mews today as I was passing (-ish!), and at first I thought that this shop had gone. Thankfully it hasn't - it moved a few doors away a month or so ago, but it is still in the Mews. As before, it is well stocked with OO and N scale items plus some diecast in larger scales and lots of second-hand stuff. The owner did assure me that he intends to keep this excellent outlet going for a few years yet.

One of the best model railway shops around. Plenty of stock and hard to get items. Prices are reasonable always a bargin to be found.

Even if you're not a local, this shop is well worth visiting. It's an easy deviation off the a50 or a38. If you can't park in the mews themselves, there is plenty of street parking nearby and a car park (With free loos!) about 5 minutes away. Last week I visited for the third time, and again I wasn't disappointed. My shopping list included some obscure washers, but the proprietor even had them. The only item on my list he didn't have was something very unusual, but he didn't hesitate to tell me the only shop in the country that he thought might stock it. He has lots of new and s/h stock particularly in both OO and N scales as well as a hoard of accessories and modelling materials (Even balsa wood). Take a shopping list and you are unlikely to leave disappointed. You might find some things a bit cheaper elsewhere, but shops like this and their proprietors deserve our patronage and need it to survive.

The tops!!! Really friendly and polite owner, he was happy to order items in for me to collect. Well worth a visit. They didn't accept cards but cash point close by, so not a problem. Good cafe opposite!
