Alfreton Model Railway Society operate the '00' gauge Model Railway at Butterley Station, at the Midland Railway Centre. Club nights are from 7pm every Tuesday and Friday, new members welcome. We stock Hornby Model Railways and Second hand '00' gauge. In addition to club nights, we aim to be open whenever the centre is running trains. |

The Wingfield Railway Group was formed in 1981 by a small group of railway modellers who had the desire to build, operate and exhibit layouts based on modern railway practice. The change of name to Chesterfield Railway Modellers reflects more clearly the area where the Group is based. Meetings are held most Tuesday afternoons and Thursday evenings although members have access to the clubroom at all time and meetings at other times are as required. |

CXMRS is a registered charity with the object of "Educating the public in all aspects of railways and model railways". New premises have been erected in the centre of Clay Cross, with access for the disabled. Work continues on the large finescale OO layout based on BR(LMS) and another based on Hindlow BR (LMS) also OO gauge. Model railway group with N, OO9, OO, O, On30 and G scale layouts. Coopers Dale & Marston our large OO layout features 2 level running, 2 layouts in 1. Wychnor-on-Trent is our extensive O layout based loosely on Burton-on-Trent in B.R steam days. In construction an N - Gresleyvale in construction Our G scale layout is represented by Catlon Valley recently extended. We meet every Tuesday Evening from 7pm onwards and hold 2 Open Day weekends at Easter and in Nov/Dec. Visitors very welcome. |

Small friendly group of like minded souls, we have been around for over 30 years and have produced mainly OO layouts, including Ashbrook Junction, Brean Sands and the legendary Cedar Park. We meet weekly and have our own exhibition each February. We also attend exhibitions from time to time with our club layouts, these are currently Woodside Lane Stabling Point, Heanor South,Greenside Vale,Pedwardine Forest and Fenby Quay some have appeared in British Railway Modelling. |

Oldest railway society in Chesterfield, founded in 1967. Mainly a model railway society with 'club' layouts in "O" "OO" "OO9" and "N" Gauges. A unique meeting place (details on application). Also we have a Museum of Railway Relics. Excursions to preserved railways, railway centres, museums and other places of interest are run during the 'summer' months. Occasional slide shows etc. Are held. A Society Magazine "The Little Midlander" is issued four times a year. Friendly. New members welcome. |
