Blandford Forum Railway Club was set up to build a near-scale 'OO' gauge model of the town's S&DJR station, as recalled in the 1950s-60s. The layout featured in the February 2011 edition of Railway Modeller. It is on permanent display inside the Museum and available for viewing during Museum opening times. Our latest project is a model of Spetisbury station, to be followed by Bailey Gate. We also meet up at 7pm on the 1st Friday of every month, also at the Scout Hut, for talks, slide shows, etc. |

We are a general model railway club with an open mind regarding whatever aspect anyone may like. We meet weekly and have a large test track which offers running for 'N', '00' DCC and '00' Analogue, plus 0. These tracks are often used for various narrow gauge creations that members may bring in.
We run two exhibitions each year, one early season at Beaminster, Dorset each January. Then our main Summer Exhibition at the end of July which has from 2018 moved to a larger venue with free |
