Ebor Group of Railway Modellers

Club occupying the loft area of the changing rooms of the Hopgrove Playing Fields Association. Layouts in 2mm (N); 4mm OO (including DCC) and P4 and 7mm. All abilities of modellers welcomed, Annual membership £80; no fees for attending meetings. There is a Large library in a separate room, with most model rail magazines back to 1950s and more than 600 books, mostly technical or railways of York and nearby. Quarterly meetings of all members organise the club.

We are a small local friendly club with layouts in N and OO gauge. We meet twice a week on a Monday and Thursday evening 7.00 - 9.45. We host an annual exhibition on August Bank Holiday Monday each year and attend other shows with our layouts.

The Skipton and District Railway Society was founded in 1968 by a group of people interested in prototype railways and in modelling them. Fifty years later, we still have one founder member - Geoff Holmes. Nowadays, although the interest in prototype railways remains and the society takes part in many prototype-related activities, the main interests of society members are the construction of model railways and exhibiting the results of our work.
