Gauge 1 Yorkshire Group

The Gauge 1 Yorkshire Group consists of about 100 members, all of whom have an interest in Gauge 1 railways. We have a number of garden railways we use throughout the year in Yorkshire - Although the majority of the group are based in South and West of the county. We run live steam, radio controlled electric and some of us have two-Rail electric layouts. We mainly specialise in UK outline, but some members do prefer continental stock. We have two exhibition layouts, Ridings and Moordale.

Neepsend Model Railway Society

Located on the edge of Sheffield city centre `Neepsend Model Railway Society` is a DCC only club and we are building a 45ft by 20ft twin level `oo` gauge layout called `Effingham Junction`, with an extension already planned. The three club nights are a mix of building and railway operation and we are sometimes on the lookout for new members with the acquired skills to help take the project forward. In addition to club nights we have group days out visiting exhibitions and preserved railways.

Sheffield Model Railway Enthusiasts

Meeting Day: Tuesday and Thursday   Meeting Times: Approx 19:30 Onwards
The club meets on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from arounnd 7:30pm onwards. Clubrooms are above Carterknowle Methodist Church, 1 Edgedale Road (Off Abbeydale Road), Sheffield. The club has layouts in 4mm and 7mm scale and new members are always welcome.

We exist to promote the many and varied skills associated with the world of model railway building, from basic construction of base boards to maintaining your rolling stock, scenery and much more. There is always someone on hand to offer friendly advice and practical support. The society and its members have a number of layouts which can be seen at the society club rooms

The Sheffield O Gauge Group meets every Friday at 7.30pm. The clubroom is situated above Carterknowle Methodist Church Hall where we have a large test track and other layouts. There is also a Wednesday afternoon meeting which concentrates on construction projects. New members and visitors are always welcome. See our website for further details.
