Carshalton & Sutton Model Railway Club

We model narrow gauge railways at 16mm/ft. Many of our locomotives are live steam, but battery powered are also present. Our meetings are informal running sessions where visitors are most welcome. We are a local model railway club with a difference - we only model in N-gauge - at least on club nights! We have a 4-track club N-mod layout that runs in some form most months. We are also developing a double track N-club modular layout, that is compatible with a number of European clubs.

Farnham & District Model Railway Club

We also have a OO9 group building a modular layout. We have test tracks for N, OO9, OO, and P4. We have both DC and DCC control interests. We organise the Aldershot model railway exhibition in October.

Gauge 1 Model Railway Association, Surrey Group

The Gauge 1 Model Railway Association is organised around local groups - our Surrey Group was formed in 1998 we have access to nine garden tracks as well as the Guildford Model Engineering Society and Sutton Model Engineering Club's extensive facilities. Gauge 1 is a very sociable hobby; our meetings are an excellent way to get advice and help. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month and on some weekends.

The Hampton Court Model Railway Society has operational layouts in OO. As a minimum, the first Sunday of every month normally sees at least one layout running. Currently we are building a OO gauge layout based on Hamworthy in Dorset, set around the time of electrification and an N gauge one inspired by Stratford-on-Avon in steam days. Construction of this layout is being used to develop skills of the participants. We also have occasional meetings focusing on kitbuilding, film shows and talks

A fine scale 0 gauge group, dedicated to maintaining some of the collection of the late John Hart, whose large garden railway was located in Surbiton. We have a dedicated club house with a large permanently erected continuous layout, together with workshop and modelling facilities. Visitors are welcome on our Tuesday night club nights and other ad hoc running sessions. A display stand is available for local exhibitions.
