An excellent model railway shop - Richard the owner is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I live not very far away, and his prices are very competitive, so no need to order off the internet for a lot of stuff - A 15 minute drive and I'm there. If he hasn't got the item you want, he will order it; if he doesn't stock an item (E.g. He doesn't do Zimo decoders), he will not try to flannel you. A real gem!

The customer service is excellent with a wide range of railway modelling items for sale. Not only good for shopping as an enthusiast himself gives great advice.

Owner Richard runs Trident Trains as a true model shop for the railway enthusiast. A keen model railway enthusiast himself, it shows in his attention to detail and customer service. All locomotives are tested in front of the customer on the test track prior to purchase. The shop is well stocked and carries the Bachmann, Hornby, Oxford and Dapol ranges as well as all the track, electrics and scenic items you would require.
The shop is located in the large Dagfields Emporium which in itself makes for a great day out, with ample free parking and places to eat and drink etc.

A fantastic model railway shop with a very comprehensive range of RTR stock in both N and OO gauge. Scenic and building kits from all major suppliers. DCC decoder / Sound fitting service available.
To me though the best thing about this shop is the owner who being a modeller himself gladly gives advice and assistance with great friendliness and patience.

My sat-nav takes me to within a couple of miles of this shop when I go on holiday to North Wales, so why have I never been here before last weekend? What a find! A well-stocked shop with a huge range of ready to run stuff as well as loads of accessories and modelling materials for those who make or modify things for themselves. Above all though, the proprietor was just such a nice bloke. He was very positive in his approach and extremely knowledgeable. The shop is in an antiques/craft centre complex out in the countryside, which is great because there's lots of parking and "she who must be obeyed" was well occupied going round the other units there. Also there are tea-rooms and loos nearby. I should add that Sunday opening is a bonus too. I'll definitely be calling in again on my way to and from Snowdonia as it's such a minor deviation off route. I feel a bit guilty about not giving this shop full marks as the only reason I gave this shop 9/10 instead of 10/10 is that for me it's about 90 miles from where I live and my work never takes me to that part of the country, so for me it's not quite perfection. Call me selfish!

Following my visit last January I returned for my 2016 vist. The shop was as usual extremely well stocked for both the N & OO gauge modeller. The owner is extremely pleasent (Even remembering the missing bogie wheels on the loco I had purchsed the previous year - Which he sorted extremly quickly). This has to be one of the best run model shops in the uk both in terms of stock and service - (I observed the owner taking time to explain to a customer the best way to fit a point motor ensuring the pin was aligned with the point tie bar). Pity he couldn't open a branch in the west of scotland - He'd make a fortune as most of the model shops here have closed.
