Previously submitted Customer Comments Mike , Solihull - 14 Oct 2020 - Called by after weekend break and was amazed once more by the variety of stock and by the fabulous 'megarama' of Rorkes drift. Lots of aviation and military including rarely seen stuff. Purchased a diorama base, and hope to return soon Charles , Sale - 25 Apr 2020 - To echo another comments, I visited October 2018 and saw models by kit manufacturers I'd not heard of and of aircraft that I'd not heard of. Good shop layout, good range of kits and offer to join a mailing list. It's a good shop and adds to my belief that the sign of a good (holiday) town is a dedicated model/toyshop: This place, Sidmouth, Harrogate, Clitheroe, Hexham to name recent destinations. David , Winsford Cheshire - 06 Jul 2019 - Stayed in barmouth and visited porthmadog for the day.came across porthmadog models by chance.wow.i could of stayed in there all day.if you are staying in the area,a visit to this shop is a must. There were some aircraft kits I had no idea had been manufactured. Brilliant. Eifion , Llanllyfni - 09 May 2018 - Great little shop, everything you need in a model shop. Working on a diorama and picked up everything I needed to complete it. Great range of models too, will suit most modellers. Great owner and happy to take time to talk and share his knowledge. Edwin , Dumbarton - 07 Dec 2016 - used this excellent shop during my stay in wales, always happy to chat and order in stuff for me, great range of figures and tanks, also those rare and interesting models Stuart , Amersham - 17 Jun 2016 - everything i needed under one roof :) Tony , Kendal - 17 May 2016 - It's 7 years since I last visited this shop and apart from changing location from one side of the street to the other and getting bigger it still the exciting and excellant shop i found then. Robin , Southwell, Notts. - 13 May 2016 - Not a lot for the railway modeller as this shop majors on figures. However, they have a good range of road vehicles especially in N and OO scales as well as various other items such as trees and Dapol kits. The lady was very friendly and helpful, and I bought a few items. I'll definitely call in again when I'm back in Porthmadog. Tony , Willenhall West Midlands - 01 May 2016 - Very friendly and knowledgable about all things modelling. Gave me some great ideas for my next project, pointing out a great range of unusual model kits that without help I would perhaps never have thought of. If you're in north wales and into modelling then make sure you visit this shop. Christopher , Birmingham - 30 Apr 2016 - Great range of models and accessories, well worth a visit. Lots of choice of models with some interesting ready made dioramas to look at and buy. I was able to buy a box of hard to obtain plastic 1/72 napoleonic figures that I haven't found in many stores,( one was missing from the box but that didn't bother ME). A good choice of scenic packs and bits to make your own dioramas. Over all a very helpful and friendly shop.
