Previously submitted Customer Comments Richard , Lancaster - 18 Sep 2020 - A treat for me to visit whilst on holiday. This is how model shops used to be with lots to look at both new and secondhand. Used items from as new to play worn condition, I was able to find several items at most reasonable cost. A warm welcome from proprietors, no corporate image, with no matching uniforms in sight. Traditional model shops are still the best. If you have a ONE TRACK MIND and COMPLETELY DERAILED visit Mad about trains and claim asylum. Peter , Scunthorpe Lincs - 24 Aug 2020 - Visited the shop today and was pleasantly surprised what was on offer.Wanted to do some swops as changing my layout this wasnt, a problem and staff were very helpful shall visit again Jonathan , Lincoln - 30 Sep 2019 - What a great Model shop this is. It does not have the largest selection of stock in the world, but what it does have is helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I bought some great ready made buildings for my layout and if your in the area well worth dropping buy. All the stock is competitively priced when you compare them to other outlets and they have other services too including weathering and engine maintenance. No fuss, you can inspect goods I was even shown a cunning trick to check if the engines run (Useful when going to train fairs folks) (Ask), nothing is too much trouble and if your lucky you might even get offered a coffee. Oh and by the way - They have some great layouts at the back of the shop. If your lucky you can park right outside for free - Useful when leaving with large amounts of stuff - Even got help putting it all in my car. Good range of new and secondhand rolling stock plus interesting selection of accesories to aid layout building. We received a warm welcome and the assistant was friendly and knowledgeable, definitely worth a second visit. Don , Lincoln - 06 Jan 2017 - I have visited this shop several times but rarely purchased as I have found an indifferent level of service offered. I think the owners have the knowledge and ability to help answer questions but it sometimes does not present very well. They have a good range of stock although some surprising gaps: e.g code 75 track - What's that? I was asked surprisingly. (I think they sometimes have someone in the shop who is not familiar with the hobby).
